THE LOUVIN BROTHERS

Charlie & Ira Louvin were born and raised in Sand Mt. Alabama. They formed The Louvin
Brothers Country Duo & eventually joined the World Famous “Grand Ole Opry” in Nashville, TN. They became very
famous for their Religious & Country recordings. Ira was tragically killed in a automobile accident in 1965. Charlie then
pursued a successful solo career. He turned 80 years old in July 2007 and just recently signed a new recording contract with
Tompkins Square Records out of New York.
